Sue Crompton is a dedicated and experienced teacher who truly believes that the teaching of children is a “vocation”, not a job.
You can feel at ease leaving your child / children in a happy and safe environment with a friendly, caring and outgoing teacher who lives in Almoradí.
We offer an interactive environment where children have a voice and are encouraged to speak out to improve their English.
English library where parents can borrow children’s books so their children can learn to read fun and interesting stories in another language at home.
Sue Crompton has a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree as well as TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) experience
A bachelor of education (BEd) course enables you to study for your degree and complete your initial teacher training (between 1 and 3 months each year) at the same time. A BEd is an honours degree course in education. All BEd graduates receive qualified teacher status (QTS) in addition to their degree.
Courses generally take three or four years full-time or four to six years part-time.
TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)
The difference between obtaining a TEFL qualification and a BEd is that a TEFL certificate can be obtained in as little as 40 hours without any practice in the classroom!!
So you can see, a BEd is much harder to obtain and provides the teacher with much more experience before receiving the qualification.
At times, children will work together in pairs and small groups and therefore will learn social skills, sharing skills and communication skills.
Themes: Each programme of work will be linked to a theme, e.g. the first theme is titled “Myself and my family”.
The longer the child spends at the Academia, the more the vocabulary of that child will improve which in turn will lead to sentence structure and then conversation.
Hours will be outside of school time so your child can continue their education after school. In June, opening times will be earlier to accommodate the half-days of schools.
